IPL 2024: Mumbai Indians trade Cameron Green to RCB, get Hardik Pandya from Gujarat Titans
Five-time champions Mumbai Indians (MI) have made a significant player trade with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Gujarat Titans (GT), just weeks before the IPL 2024 auction.
MI release Cameron Green to acquire Hardik Pandya
MI have traded Cameron Green to the RCB in an all-cash transaction to INR 17.5 crore, the price value of the Australian all-rounder. They also bought Indian super Hardik Pandya from the Titans in an all-cash deal after the 5 pm IST deadline (November 26) for franchises to announce the list of players released and retained ahead of the auction.
This strategic move has caught cricket enthusiasts off guard, as both players are known for their match-winning abilities and have been vital cogs in their respective teams.

Green and Pandya to add depth to RCB and MI squads, respectively
Cameron Green, a promising young talent from Australia, had a decent outing with MI in the previous season, showcasing his prowess with both bat and ball. His move to the Challengers is expected to add depth to their squad, providing an extra dimension to their formidable lineup.
On the other hand, Hardik Pandya, one of the most sought-after all-rounders in the T20 format, will again don MI’s blue and gold. Before joining the Titans in 2022 and guiding them to victory in their inaugural season, Pandya was an integral part of MI since his IPL debut, contributing significantly with his explosive batting and handy fast bowling. His addition to the MI roster will strengthen their middle order and provide additional firepower.
The trade has sparked discussions among cricket fans, with many speculating on the motivations behind this unexpected swap. They are eagerly awaiting the start of IPL 2024 to witness how these changes will impact the dynamics of the tournament.
